Sips & Stanzas Presents From Nashville to Brassville: A Conversation on Brass Bands
The men of Brassville in Nashville, Tennessee are doing their part to keep the brass band tradition alive and well. Made up of graduates of Tennessee State University, the group brings a New Orleans influenced musical style to the streets of Nashville for all to enjoy. Brass brands play a unique role in the history of African Americans, even influencing the development of the musical experience and identity within Historically Black College & University marching bands.
